St Andrews is home of Birmingham City (The Blues). Adrian and I chose to go to this game as Birmingham City were sell cheap tickets to create a big atmosphere for the new manger, Alex McLeish. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. Birmingham City’s goal was scored by Mikael Forssell and Reading's goal was scored by Stephen Hunt penalty. Behind the Spion Kop, there is a retail park and further down the road is a McDonalds. Adrian parked his car on Garrison Lane which is free and is only a two minute walk from the ground. St Andrews is a historic ground which once claimed to of had a "gypsy's curse". The oldest stand is of course the Main stand, which was built in 1952. The stand has two tiers of seats and executive boxes in between the tiers. In the mid 1990's, the two joined stands, the Tilton Road End and Spion Kop were built which replaced a huge terrace. The final re-development was the Railway End was opened February 1999 which has two tiers. Away supporters are located in the lower tier to the left and the top tier is called "The Olympic Gallery". Please note that a visit to St Andrews is not cheap as programmes are £3.50 and ticket prices are slightly steep.
